Akademos, Inc. operates a discount online bookstore, found on the Internet at www.TextbookX.com, offering over 930,000 new and used textbooks, general books, and reference titles. We have every day low prices on new and used books, up to 90% off retail prices. Our marketplace program is an open marketplace for students to post their used course materials and general books for sale. Students typically sell their books for an average of two times more than bookstore buyback prices on the marketplace.
The company was founded with the goal of enhancing educational opportunities for students. In line with this fundamental purpose, we launched last year the TextbookX.com Scholarship Program and we hope to make it a longstanding and bountiful feature of our website.
