PROVIDES a residential year at the American Academy in Rome for an American  landscape architect for advanced study, travel, and association with other  fellows in the arts and humanities. Former Rome Prize recipients include many of our country’s most outstanding landscape architects, as well as artists, architects, musicians, and classicists. The American Academy overlooks the historic city of Rome from its 11 acre site on the Janiculum Hill. It has been called “an estate of the mind” and provides an atmosphere for unregimented study, independent work, and inspiration.  Applicants must hold an accredited degree in Landscape Architecture. Selection is by the American Academy in Rome in consultation with the GCA Scholarship Committee.
