The Commission supports full-time study at both Masters and doctoral level. There are also opportunities for those studying for doctoral degrees in developing country universities to spend up to a year in the United Kingdom as part of their studies.
There are four ways to apply for scholarships:
• You can apply through the national nominating agency in your country
• You can apply through universities in certain developing countries
• Through the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme, you can apply directly to certain UK universities, for one year Masters courses only
• You can apply through a limited number of NGOs and other programmes funded by the UK Department for International Development
We regret that the Commission is unable to accept direct applications for study in the United Kingdom. Please note that any such applications will not be considered or acknowledged.
There are additional requirements for awards involving clinical training in medicine and dentistry
