Australian Leadership Awards Fellowships

ALA Fellowships are for short-term study, research, and professional attachment programmes in Australia delivered by Australian organisations. ALA Fellowships complement the longer term ALA Scholarships providing opportunities to senior officials who cannot leave their positions for extended periods.

ALA Fellowships is a highly flexible programme offering professional development opportunities to current and future leaders from the Asia-Pacific region by leveraging existing linkages between Australia and countries in the region.

Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships

The Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) Scholarships are a component of the Australian Leadership Awards, a regional program under the Australian Scholarships initiative. Australian Leadership Awards aim to develop leadership, build partnerships and linkages within the Asia-Pacific.

 

They are intended for those who are already leaders or have the potential to assume leadership roles that can influence social and economic policy reform and development outcomes, both in their own countries and in the Asia-Pacific region. The ALA program comprises of Scholarships and Fellowships.

BAGNC Predoctoral Scholarship Program

The American Academy of Nursing seeks applicants for its Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity (BAGNC) Predoctoral Scholarship Program. The John A. Hartford Foundation provides scholarships of up to $50,000 per annum for two years. Scholarships support full time doctoral education for nurses committed to careers in academic geriatric nursing. The Mayday Fund provides an additional $5,000 award to selected candidates whose research focuses on pain in the older persons. Award programs must begin between July 1st and September 1st.

Additional Information
The Foundation will award 57 fellowships for the 2006-07 academic year. Six of these awards are available to members of International Federation of University Women affiliate organisations.
